Exemed Pharmaceuticals grew from a business group with more than three decades of experience in drug intermediates and specialty chemicals. Established in 2009, the company has built its capabilities around quality, reliability and a clear understanding of what pharmaceutical customers need.
Today, Exemed offers end-to-end solutions covering drug intermediates, Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients and finished formulations. With a strong R&D team and modern manufacturing infrastructure, the company continues to build its presence in the pharmaceutical industry from its facilities in Gujarat.

Two facilities.
One commitment to quality.
Exemed operates two manufacturing facilities in Gujarat, supporting its API and formulation capabilities. Both facilities are designed and equipped to manufacture high-quality pharmaceutical products while meeting stringent regulatory requirements.

Vadodara
API manufacturing facility
In 2009, Exemed commissioned a state-of-the-art API manufacturing facility in Vadodara. The facility was established to manufacture Metformin API for regulated markets such as the US and Europe and has since supported the company’s wider API operations.

Vapi
API & formulation manufacturing facility
In 2013, Exemed expanded its operations through the acquisition of UCB India’s formulation and API manufacturing site at Vapi. The facility added formulation manufacturing capabilities to Exemed’s existing API operations and was subsequently accredited with EU GMP certification in 2018.
